Turbo testing and 250 rear cage.

We are starting 2012 with some testing of our new KTR400 Turbo kit for the 225 and R26 models. We hope to have some results available in the next few days which we will post here on the Blog. Early signs are that the turbo kit is producing very good power and very strong torque, turning our test R26 into a very, very fast car indeed.
We have also had the first bolt in rear cage made for the Megane 3 RS which many customers have been asking for. Our next step is to add a harness bar before the cage is released for general sale. Prices and further details will be available very soon.

New parts coming for 2012!

We have been working away behind the scenes on a few exciting new parts that will be available from January 2012.
KTR RenFlash lead.
Firstly we have our new KTR Comm lead which will allow customers to install our tuned ecu files directly into their own ecu, where ever they are in the world.
The lead can be purchased and shipped to you, you then follow the supplied video instructions and download your ecu file using a lap top, then email the file to us along with a list of the modifications done to the car. We then send you back a tuned file to load back on to your ecu. The lead will be locked to your car and can be used to load and unload the tuned file as often as you wish.
Another benefit is that if you decide to tune your engine further at a later date you can use the lead again to get a new tuned file from us. So if you are running a standard car with a tuned file and then want to add cams, no problem as you can simply purchase a new "cams spec" file from us and load it yourself. This will also be the case on cars such as the Megane 225 and R26 models, should you want to go from a Stage 1 remap to a Hybrid turbo, again no problem as we can supply the tuned file to suit the Hyrbid turbo upgrade.
More details and prices will be released in January and the lead will be available for all Megane 2 RS models including the 225, R26 and R26.R, all Megane 3 RS 250 and 265 models and all Clio 3 RS 197 and 200 models. More applications will follow.
KTR 400 Megane 2 turbo kit.
With more and more Megane owners wanting to increase the power of their engines we have now put together a turbo kit to do just that.
At the heart of the kit is a custom GT30 rollerbearing turbo which is capable of producing an easy 400bhp once fitted to the F4R engine. Also in the kit is our full stainless steel tubular manifold, 3" bore turbo downpipe as well as all the fittings required for an easy installation. The kit will also come with a turbo damper for additional turbo support.
A lot of work has gone into the manifold design and to make is very strong we are using twin laminated head flanges, thick walled stainless steel tubing which is fully TIG welded and back purged to ensure complete weld penetration.
There will also be a KTR500 version available which will use the same manifold, downpipe and fittings but a larger turbo.

KTR Megane 2 RS induction kit.
Following Renault's decision to stop producing the very effective Espace V6 air box we have had to hault the development of our long awaited induction kit.
However, we have been testing a much simpler kit which will replace the standard factory air box, without the need to change the battery. We intend to use an open foam air filter complete with custom alloy inlet elbow which will fit into a cut down standard or silicone air inlet pipe. The kit is also supplied with a heatshield and fitting kit and early testing has seen gains of 13bhp on a completely standard car.
More testing will take place in January when we have a fully finished prototype to test.
